Zoinks! This has been a busy, chaotic year for me and many other family members and friends. Anyhow, summer seems to have finally set in for a big part of the US of A. So that means scorching temperatures, wildfires, and all sorts of other generally unpleasant things.
But many of my friends are discovering that some of their favorite pumpkin infused things are already on the shelves. (coffee, beer, etc.) So I am pining for Autumn right there with you. :-D In my perfect world calendar, I would remove summer altogether. By eliminating Summer, Spring could just change into fall on June 20th or so. I have a suspicion that many of you folks would be okay with that.
To lead us into the weekend (and in thinking cool) here is a picture I made. This was captured pretty close to the spot where Oregon and California meet on US Route 199. Some of you have driven this and know how scenic it is. I stopped in a spot where I could keep the plethora of signs out of the picture just for y'all. Or perhaps it was safer than stopping amidst all the state line activity.
Stay cool and enjoy your holiday, my American friends.

I miss you, Pop
