Another image from one of my desert sojourns that I'd like to share.
I mulled over what to call this post, but eventually went on in my procession of untitled posts. Baby lays around? Baby crash and burn? Who can say?
At any rate, I was tromping around in the vicinity of Yermo, California if memory serves. Photographing abandoned gas stations, signs, and pretty much anything left over from the days of Route 66. And one of the tenets of landscape photography cut through my vacationing thought processes. Don't forget to look down. So I did, and this was right there at my feet.
This image is pretty much straight out of camera, and I wonder if I should give it some sort of alt treatment . . .. Black and white, sepia, perhaps some imaginary vintage photo effect? Any input or guidance, y'all?
